Editorial
In the fifth year of publishing ComSIS, I have a great pleasure to announce that our journal has been selected for coverage in Thomson Reuters products and custom information services. Beginning with Vol. 5. No. 1, ComSIS will be indexed and abstracted in the Science Citation Index Expanded and Journal Citation Report/Science Edition. It is a new motivation for all of us to strive in reaching a remarkable quality and strengthening the international character of ComSIS, and hereby to commit to a trustworthy of all the ComSIS authors.
This is one of the special issues of ComSIS, devoted to Compilers, Related Technologies and Applications. On behalf of the ComSIS Consortium, let me use this opportunity to thank to the reviewers and all of the authors for their high-quality work and great enthusiasm. Above all, I would like to thank to Simão Melo de Sousa, a guest editor of this issue, as well as to Maria João Varanda Pereira and Pedro Rangel Henriques, chairs of the Conference on Compilers, Related Technologies and Applications (CoRTA 2008), for their remarkable contribution and efforts in creating this issue of ComSIS.
A few sentences at the end of this issue are dedicated to the memory of the late Professor Branislav Lazarevic, the first Editor-in-Chief of ComSIS. We will always remember him by many achievements in research and teaching, and above all, by his great enthusiasm and effort invested in the foundation of ComSIS.
